Crate Paper Fun with Foil

Hello! This week on the Crate Paper blog, we are sharing projects that have fun with foil. I used my Heidi Swapp Minc and a few American Crafts Minc tags to create this layout about holiday cookie baking.

I also pulled out the foiled Thickers from the Hello Love collection, these are so fun and went perfectly with the rest of the foil accents on my page.

I used green foil with this 'hello' tag and stapled it to a piece of patterned paper. I wanted to incorporate red and green to go along with the Christmas theme.

This gold heart tag was perfect with a Crate Paper 'falala' piece to create an embellishment for the top of the layout, along with the red gold foiled piece next to it.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are having a great Holiday season!

Christmas Cards with Crate Paper

Hi there! Today on the blog I am sharing a few quick Christmas cards using an older Crate Paper collection - Bundled Up. If you are like me and haven't sent out your cards yet, these ideas will work perfectly to whip up a few quick ones! I am trying to keep it simple this year and do just that.

I started out with a white cardstock card base and added a piece of patterned paper with a bold red stripe. After adding my sentiment and chipboard snowflake, I embellished the card with punched vellum snowflakes and a few enamel dots.

For this card, I used the same white cardstock and patterned paper card base. I then added the chipboard banner and "winter", stitching through it with white thread.

I also embellished this card with some vellum snowflakes and enamel dots, as well as a wooden brad from the collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today, have a great one!

Bella Blvd Mix and Match

Today on the Bella Blvd blog, we are sharing projects that mix and match different collections. For this layout, I tried hand stitching! I started with a piece of white cardstock and lightly traced around a plate with pencil. I pierced holes about every 1/4 inch, then erased the markings and stitched with embroidery floss. It took quite a while but I am pleased with the result! It really is a labor of love.

After that, I filled in the circle with bits and pieces from different collections. The great thing about Bella products is that they all go together! Just find similar colors (or for this layout - a rainbow) and start your project.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Crate Paper Holiday Decor

Happy December!! Today on the Crate Paper blog, I'm sharing an altered frame that I made to celebrate the Christmas season. I picked up this frame recently at an antique shop in town, but you could easily recreate one with an ornate frame, spray paint and twine.

To embellish the frame, I created a variety of tags and cards to hang on the twine. I used glitter clothespins from the Craft Market collection to secure them. I pulled out an older winter collection - Bundled Up - as I thought the colors went well with the red frame.

I thought it would be fun to add a glittered tassel from the Shine collection as well. I love the pop of pink that it gives the project!

This cute chipboard snowman is from the Bundled Up collection as well. I added it to a simple shipping tag and adhered a glitter star.

I also incorporated some of the cork numbers from the Wonder collection on another tag. The perfect touch! After I had each of the tags in place, I adhered a piece of patterned paper to the back of the frame. This will make a perfect piece to place on my side table with other Christmas decor.
